I have this tendency to not make my New Years’ resolutions until mid-January at the earliest. I like to recover from the holiday season, and while in college, assess any new challenges to expect from the new semester before I really set my goals in stone (or at least a blog post). This year, I’m trying to something different: I’m choosing four words — almost like a mantra — to center my goals this year so I can focus on that elusive “big picture.”
I first heard about this idea from two of my favorite bloggers, Callie and Jessica, who choose one word and three, respectively, to guide them this year. Why am I choosing four? I like the symmetry of it: four seasons, four quarters of the year. It was a challenge, but these are the words I came up with
